BOUTIQUE ALTERATIONS &
HOME SEWING COMPANY

I started my sewing career making costumes for college theater in a low-budget shop where I was altering donated pants to look like 1920's suits one show and 1980's the next. Upon graduating, while biding my time looking for work I decided to take a job in men's alterations, and before I knew it found myself managing a team of 6 tailors. I loved the problem-solving nature of the work and continued to expand into womens and bridal alterations. As my career journey continued into home textiles, I found myself always collecting odd projects, such as making hot tub covers, combining 2 dresses into 1, or reinforcing worn seams on vintage pieces, and thought, where do people go for non-standard alterations? This began my dream to open a business that does just that.
